Aaya Al-Shamahi is an illustrator, character animator and senior video producer with over seven years experience in visual storytelling.
A graduate of MA Character Animation at Central Saint Martins, UAL, Aaya creates expressive, character-led illustrations that blend narrative, emotion and imagination. Her work spans editorial illustration, character design, animation and visual development, drawing on a background in journalism and Middle Eastern studies to transform complex ideas into engaging, accessible stories.
Whether illustrating children's worlds, developing visual identities or crafting narrative-driven artwork, she is passionate about creating images that connect with audiences and leave a lasting impression.
