The Old City of Sanaa is one of the world's oldest cities and a UNESCO heritage site. It's defined by its distinctive architectural character, which is showcased in the city's infamous  'gingerbread' skyscrapers.

 

The series here is a study of the Old City's unique architecture, narrow streets, alleyways and historical ambience.
